David's practice is dedicated to men and women with legal problems at their jobs -- people who have been Wronged at Work™.
He is one of a small number of Sacramento attorneys who work solely for individual employees and do not represent employers.
"Let us never negotiate from fear, but let us never fear to negotiate" (John F. Kennedy). Often it makes sense to establish communication with an employer before litigating. Sometimes an intelligent solution can be mutually reached by the parties. David is the employee’s counselor and advocate during the negotiation process.
David was raised in New Jersey near the famous Jersey Shore.
His father was a women’s clothing salesman in New York City
and his mother taught piano at home. David graduated from
Dartmouth College and McGeorge School of Law. He started
his career as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. David
has also been a public relations manager, a syndicated
columnist, commentator on public radio, author of five books,
and a pianist in cocktail lounges to earn tuition while at
Dartmouth.
David served on the Board of the Sacramento County Bar Association and is a Director of the Sacramento Law Foundation. He is a member of the Inns of Court (UC Davis) and the California Employment Lawyers Association. David teaches classes at the Sacramento County Public Law Library and is an approved mediator for the Superior Court of El Dorado County.
